Our Partners

Capital Area Food Bank

The Capital Area Food Bank is the largest organization in the Washington metro area working to solve hunger and its companion problems: chronic undernutrition, heart disease, and obesity. By partnering with 444 community organizations in DC, MD, and VA, as well as delivering food directly into hard to reach areas, the CAFB is helping 540,000 people each year get access to good, healthy food. That’s 12% of our region’s mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and grandparents.

MOMs Organic Market

MOMs Purpose is to protect and restore the environment through healthy food options, biodegradable supplies, a number of charity efforts, support of independent farms and respectable food making practices, and much more. They protect and restore the environment. They respect unusual ideas.  They challenge conventional wisdom. They value teamwork.  They love a good, healthy debate. They are thoughtful, progressive, and hard working people. They hold regular book sessions, documentary screenings and field trips to educate staff members about organic foods and the environment. All MOM’s employees receive free lunch at their Naked Lunch counter. Currently, MOMs operates twelve grocery stores in the Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia areas.

Big Valley Produce

Big Valley generously donates fresh, bulk produce each week. These donations include fresh carrots, potatos, onions,  squash, cabbage, garlic, apples, bananas, pineapples, oranges, mangos and more. As a supplier in the DC area, it allows F.E.E.D. the double opportunity to support a local business while providing fresh produce to the community.

Whole Foods Market

The Whole Foods commitment to healthy eating and living is remarkable. More than 7,000 farms that provide fresh fruits and vegetables to their stores are Responsibly Grown rated. Their system also rewards farmers who are committed to improving farming practices. Their team members are part of the local community and they are passionate about supporting the local causes that are important to their shoppers and neighbors. Each store donates food to area food banks and shelters. They have food; they know how to get it to people who need it. Done.

Halalco, an all-purpose grocer, goes above and beyond the needs of their community by providing a variety of household, personal, and gift items. Halalco also carries one of the largest selections of Halal meat and organic produce in the Washington, DC area. Their commitment to service and charity is unparalleled and their efforts have touched several communities, families and organizations throughout the years.
